The "Unofficial" Chris Walsh Fan Club

Walsh had a very busy day on special teams, appearently playing through pain.

Walsh got in on a couple of tackles, getting stadium credit for one.

After Randy Moss' punt return where he ran 40 yards to gain two, Walsh gingerly walked off the field. When the Vikings punted, Walsh came back out on coverage, absolutely faking out his blocker getting a direct route to the return man. Walsh got an ankle, slowing the return guy down, letting his teammates arrive to make the tackle. Walsh took a momment before getting up and slowly walked off the field. He sat out the next special teams play but did return one more time before the game was over.

On punt returns, Walsh lined up at winger, but twice threatened blitzing by running to the line, drawing a finger waving from the punt team. On the third punt, Walsh actually came for the punter, but didn't get close.

My Aunt reports Walsh got significant screen on pumping the crowd on FOX. During the game, taped messages from Viking players Mike "The Superstar" Morris, Walsh, Mitch Berger, Dennis Green and Red McCombs played, thanking the crowd for a great year.

As Walsh's message played, he was in the endzone whipping the crowd into a frenzy.
